Web Developer
Based at Plymouth Branch

Job brief
We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website. You will build our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.

Hours: 40 hours per week. Fixed Contract.

Salary: TBC.

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
• Registering web domain names and organising the hosting of the website
• Managing and reporting back on statistics / analytics.

Preferred Requirements
Proven working experience in web programming
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
• Coding: HTML; JavaScript; jQuery; Dreamweaver.
• Programming: .net; XML/XSLT; ASP; PHP.
• Design and graphics: InDesign; Illustrator; Photoshop; Fireworks; Flash. Content management system (CMS): Wordpress; Adobe Business Catalyst; Drupal; Ektron; Zope.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation process
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
• Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

Postgraduate degree or a level 5 qualification (foundation degree, HND or a DipHE) is possible but a relevant subject, work experience and a good portfolio will be required.
• We will consider recent graduates that can demonstrate relevant work experience to this role.
• Entry without a degree is also possible. If you are self-taught, have developed a number of websites and have a portfolio.

Warehouse Operative

PAY STRUCTURE: To be discussed at interview

We are looking for a self-motivated skilled Warehouse Operative that has the ability to function as part of the team and on your own initiative. You must have very effective organisational and communication skills. Some heavy lifting is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Taking delivery of goods and supplies.
• Storing of goods.
• Preparation of stock.
• Loading of stock by hand or forklift.
• Keep records of stock.
• Regular stocktaking.
• Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy.
• Occasional local deliveries.

Education and Experience:

Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills are required.
